and commisioned him to draw a battle between Soundwave & Storm Shadow versus Springer & my character Dengeki Ryouji, and this is the epic result! I really dig the dynamic fight poses, composition, killer style, and hyper details! And Dengeki Ryouji using his tail weapon was a super cool touch!

I designed Dengeki Ryouji as an homage to my favourite character ever, Great Mazinger, who was created by Go Nagai The Mecha Master! I, also, included some elements from the X-Men Nightcrawler [my favourite Marvel character ever, who was created by master designer Dave Cockrum] and Colossus [who was also created by The Dave Cockrum], when designing Dengeki. The Eye of Horus, samurai, and knights were also key elements in Dengeki's design.
